|Madam Foo Foo Couture was founded in January 2009. What has evolved is a true labor of love...of fashion and horses. Each creation is unique and many are handwoven. A portion of all profits from sales goes to thoroughbred retirement, retraining and rescue. Madam Foo Foo, a retired racehorse from Lisa's racing stable, is the first success story as a result of the creation of the company! She was a repeat winner on the track and is now living the life of a "southern belle" at her home on a Mississippi plantation.|
Lisa Roedemeier lives about twenty-five minutes northeast of Churchill Downs - the horse racing capital of the world. She was born and raised in southern Kentucky. She has one son, Jordan Lake.
Lisa is the president of Media Thoroughbred Group, a horse racing partnership company she founded in 2005. Lisa taught psychology at Western Kentucky University and East Tennessee State University before moving to Louisville in the early 1990s. Her first experiences with the Kentucky Derby came soon after, as she was a member of the all-female syndicate Purse Strings Farm. The syndicated campaigned Leo's Gypsy Dancer - a graded stakes winner who ran on the undercard of the Kentucky Oaks in 1999.
Lisa's favorite design quote:
"The best color in the whole world, is the one that looks good, on you!"
